• What is SootheAire?
  SootheAire is a sound conditioner or "white noise machine" that creates a soothing and consistent "whoosh" sound.
• How does SootheAire work?
  SootheAire contains an internal two-speed motor and fan blade that are specifically chosen and rigorously tested to ensure they create a pleasant and consistent "whoosh" sound free of vibration or other sound. The plastic housing contains an adjustable cap and collar that can be moved to adjust the sound.
• Why should I use SootheAire?
  SootheAire is effective as both a calming device to improve the ability to sleep, relax and/or concentrate. It is also effective at blocking unwanted ambient noise such as barking dogs, traffic, noisy neighbors, mowers and blowers, and loud stereos.
• Why should I use SootheAire for white noise instead of a fan or humidifier?
  SootheAire provides pure and effective white noise without unwanted side effects such as draft, dust and temperature change (fan) and moisture (humidifier).
• How is SootheAire different from electronic noise machines?
  SootheAire is an electro-mechanical device, meaning it has moving parts that create the pleasant sound. Electronic noise machines rely on recorded or digitally reproduced sounds which are played on a loop. The human mind is able to detect these discrepancies, which often results in less than optimal results in terms of restful sleep, relaxation, or the ability to concentrate effectively.
• How is SootheAire powered?
  SootheAire comes with a polarized 8 foot power cord and is powered by normal household current. An adapter is required for overseas use.
• What is the proper placement of SootheAire to get optimal results?
  Typically, for sleep, SootheAire is placed on a nearby nightstand or dresser. For masking ambient noise, SootheAire should be placed between the user and the unwanted noise, typically at the perimeter of the room that the user is occupying.
• Can I fit SootheAire in my luggage?
  SootheAire is very effective for light sleepers, especially in sleeping environments away from home, and the product is light, compact, and ideal for travel!
• Is Soothe Aire effective for blocking all unwanted noise?
  SootheAire is effective at masking noises that would otherwise interrupt sleep and the ability to relax or concentrate, such as barking dogs, street traffic, bird calls, loud conversation, and air traffic. It is not going to completely block all ambient noise, but it will buffer users from most disturbing noises.
• Will SootheAire block my ability to hear clock radio alarms, smoke detectors, or house alarms?
  No. Because of the typical pitch, frequency, location and volume of these devices, SootheAire will not interfere with the ability to hear them under normal operating conditions, assuming these devices are located in the same room where you are using SootheAire.
• How long will my SootheAire last?
  SootheAire is typically a durable and long-lasting product. Many users report having used the product for well over ten years consistently with no problems. Your results may vary based on where and how you use the product, and all customers are protected by a one year limited factory warranty.
